The program can be accomplished in a 12-week format or as a one-week Immersion Retreat which includes seven days and six nights at the Oregon Garden Resort.

The WellspringHeart program relies on four lifestyle components important to the heart disease reversal process - Nutrition, Exercise, Stress Reduction and Group Support. Each component is an equal part of the whole.

Nutrition
Utilizing hands-on experiences cooking and shopping, participants are instructed by Registered Dietitians to reduce their dietary fat intake, incorporate whole foods and plant-based nutrition to reduce cholesterol, manage weight and improve overall health.

Exercise
Exercise professionals work with participants to develop an individualized exercise prescription and instill the importance of regular exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Stress Management
Stress Management specialists guide participants in gentle stretching, breathing techniques, relaxation, meditation and imagery, providing a key component to participants' overall success.

Group Support
Participants reflect on their experience and support one another with the guidance of Licensed Counselors during their Group Support sessions. To maintain their bond as a group, and to facilitate long-term adherence to newly acquired behaviors, participants continue to support each other long after the experience of the initial program.

To increase support outside the program, spouses, significant others and family members are encouraged to attend as a full participant when possible.
